Janet Grogan Returns To ‘The X Factor’, Season 13 in 2016 After Simon Eliminated Her In Season 11 in 2014
Janet was eliminated by Simon Cowell from the competition back in ‘The X Factor’ in 2014, and Simon realized his mistake and he had posted a tweet saying “I should have kept Janet. My mistake”. Janet admitted that she was also disappointed and considered giving up music but Simon’s tweet made her realize that she should give it a try again and not give up on her dreams.

When she walked on the stage of the judging room, Simon was shocked to see her return. He could not believe what he was seeing but Janet’s return to the auditions again made him happy. Janet sang Zayn Malik’s ‘Pillow Talk’. Louis Walsh said, “Janet I know you’re a great singer and I really think Simon made a mistake,”. This made Simon broke his silence saying that it is the reason he had tweeted realizing his mistake.
Simon also said, “Well Janet at least I can admit to my mistakes and I was always praying for your return to the audition room”. ‘You got more confident, have got a glow about you and your voice is stunning”. It was enough to make her way into the next round of the competition.
But in the Judges Houses round, she faced a major disappointment again after her mentor Sharon Osbourne didn’t choose her to go on live shows which ended her journey on ‘The X factor’ again for the second time.
Where Is She Now?
After her disappointing elimination, Janet reunited with her friend Saara Aalto, a fellow contestant of ‘The X Factor’. Both of them met in Lisbon before a song competition where Janet was representing Ireland and was singing backup vocals for Ryan O’Shaughnessy and Saara was representing Finland.
Saara also talked about her good bonding and relationship with Janet since the times of ‘The X Factor’. She also reminded that she was in the same group with Janet with Overs and Sharon as their mentors.
