13-Year Old Indian Lydian Nadhaswaram Becomes The World’s Fastest Piano Player Ever

Competing against the world’s best talents to become the world’s fastest piano player at just 13 years of age shows the amount of exquisite talent that Lydian Nadhaswaram possesses.  Lydian comes from Chennai, Tamil Nadu in India, his fast-piano playing skills have earned him a lot of praises and success at a very young age. Lydian Nadhaswaram,a 13-Year Old Indian kid competed against ‘The World’s Best’ to become the ‘The World’s Fastest Piano Player’.

Lydian’s love for music was first noticed by his father Varshan Sathish. He taught him few renditions of songs from Indian movies that Lydian learned to play on drums. Though he attracted global attention for his drumming, he had been playing a few percussion instruments when he was just eight years old. It was after some years that he started playing the piano, Beethoven, Liszt, and, Mozart.

He performed on composer Rimsky’s‘Flight Of The Bumblebee”, which is believed to be a difficult song to play on the piano. He performed this song at three different speeds, 160,280 and 325 beats per minute. The judges were completely awestruck with his fast piano playing skills and the judges RuPaul Charles, Faith Hill and, Drew Barrymore loved his performance. His amazing piano skills made him move into the next round with a score of 85.

He competed with the world’s best talents from all across the globe and soared through the battle rounds and champion rounds to reach the finale. In his final performance at the finale, he performed his rendition of Beethoven’s ‘Fur Elise’ and Chopin’s ‘Etude’ playing two pianos at the same time. He was successful again in impressing the judges and got a standing ovation for his melodious piano rendition. He earned a score of 84 which was the highest in the finale night and he ended up winning the title with $1 million.

Lydian to Make His Debut As A Film Composer

After he won the title of The World’s Best, Lydian had the opportunity to work as the music composer and director in his debut film Barroz to be produced under Mohanlal. It will be a 3D fantasy film based on a famous child’s story that will also be Mohanlal’s directional debut.
